The Un-Australian newspaper and its political leader john hoWARd have outlined terrorist justification for [false flag] terror attacks in Bali, London and New York and urged neo-liberals and the other 80 per cent of Australians to embrace the 'fear' of nuclear weapons in an article today headed :Embrace nuclear weapons: Bashir.

But is it necessary to terrorise the general public with propaganda to pass new draconian anti-liberty legislation here in Australia? You bet!

In a chilling article this morning in the Un-Australian from the Canberra political cell where hoWARd remains after his conspiracy theory in relation to the 2002 Bali bombings, the radical neo-liberal dictator's propaganda platform also warned of a clash of civilisations that would not end until Islam accepts to be governed by neocons.

That's a joke son! But it's more like the truth!

When CIA agents Sidney Jones, or Rohan Gunaratna are the only credible source in relation to a notion that there is an organisation called JI in Indonesia then you have to worry? Especially when its own leader pronounces after he was elected that "We have no evidence that JI exists...".

The most insidious law is that of "indirect incitement" which was obviously designed to 'deal' with any opposition. Modern ruling elites are aware that the 'enemy' (term used here in its relative sense) that poses the greater threat is the domestic population - not external gangs of bearded terrorists".

Ruddock's action confirms an agenda to silence protest - one of the most valuable rights and safety mechanisms in any democratic society; it should be plain to all that the (now fascist) government of Australia fears freedom of speech and protest. Where will it end? History indicates the fate of some infamous ultra-right-wing regimes of the past.

Some international readers may not be familiar with the cringe mentality that manifests as the conservative right in Australia. Remember, given the opportunity to form a Republic, the local population (duped by Howard) chose instead to retain their colonial links to an (anachronistic) English monarchy. The Australian flag retains the "union jack" as an indicator that it is not up to the task of forming a truly independent identity - pathetic!

However, there remains another strong aspect to the Australian psyche, that of the (rebel) 'Irish immigrant', personified in the bushranger, Ned Kelly; it is this aspect which the world knows as the Australian character - not the cowardly colonial cringe displayed by Howard, Ruddock and Downer.

The colonial cringe produces inadequate and compensatory personalities like Howard and Ruddock; these personalities are constantly in search of a father figure to protect them (excuse me while I spit!) Fortunately for Australia, the above-mentioned fleas do not represent the true Australian character, only its recessive and retrograde aspects.

In conclusion, we are grateful to Ruddock and his over zealous and compensatory personality for making plain (to all) the hidden agenda of the conservative government.

Well I rode into town on my pushbike and went straight down to the Quay to the protest location, got to about Surry Hills and could smell horse shit thinking the cops aren't far off. Sure enough I went around the corner and there were four cops on horseback and they were in riot gear so I avoided them.

I cut across Hyde Park but couldn't avoid the cops on every street corner. Must be hundreds! On my own quite early so I thought I better scan the area to see what the fuss was all about and the chopper was overhead loud as hell hovering above the skyscrapers.

Trying to warn off the protests is not a bad trick from the police gang but there is strength in numbers I thought, touch-wood! So it was quite early about 4pm and I wandered down the mall to get a drink to throw off any suspicion and to see what prevents the protesters getting to the Opera House.

But as I went closer it just got worse. A big cruiser in the harbour and cops walking all around not your average cops either they got the big ones out!

Just then I went over to the water to look into the sea and this bunch of cops comes past in this rubber dingy like the avengers of the neo-cons. Shit I thought, I'd better wait till the tribe gets here before I go any further. And to add to that feeling the atmosphere was bent just like a war zone and now I know what that feels like, cold and uncertain about your presence and future.

I knew I should have been a reporter!

Guerrillas everywhere, so I go over to a table just for fun and ask these tourists, "is this what normally happens around here?" Thinking if I had company it wouldn't feel so bad. Well they looked at me startled and said, "We can't believe it either". Just then they got up and left. I shouted 'be alert and don't be alarmed' they took no notice and I didn't blame them as I was definitely thinking the same thing myself.

Oh well, I thought I've come this far I guess I should have a look at the end. And when I got there it was a dead-end, a trap and I seen about 10 people and a girl with a sign that said 'No to corporate Greed' and a 100 police so I thought no, now is definitely not the time.

Like cold steel I slowly pushed my bike out of there away from the 'rocky web' for fear of prosecution for minding my own business and as I got closer to the Quay I felt relieved.

Then the tribe arrived from the Town Hall and what a relief to be with some real people at last. Then a short time later lots of people several hundred and if I can just say that the atmosphere was back to normal and not like a war zone.

That point I would like to express to everyone of you for this is precious and something we must never take for granted or for that matter ever let john hoWARd forget, amongst other things!

Even with hundreds of people at the Quay the police gang surrounded the people bridging up on three sides and most likely although I did not notice in the building as well and that would have fenced everyone in. The chopper noise drowned out the speakers until it was almost time to march to the dead-end! Coppers on horses, in the harbour, on foot and in the air for what? Forbes!

The police gang like to fence the protesters in and surround them grunting and staring is the tactic and if taxpayers are prepared to be pushed to that level then it is time to stand up for your rights to protest as well. Don't let them stand over your youth and fellow citizens who should be allowed to protest and demonstrate without feeling sick in the stomach with fear and worried about being there.

Or even to walk onto the forecourt of their Opera House and not be stood over by a bunch of cops and goons hell bent on foxing, intimidating and victimising the community so they will either get out of the trap and not protest or get caught in it.

Do we employ our police to intimidate?

You can just go down to Circular Quay sometime in the next three days and stand by your fellow citizens just as observers.

Faris chaired the national crime body from 1989-1990, has acted as a senior prosecutor and has represented high-profile clients, but that doesn't give him the right to welcome a discussion about torture in our community because it suits some group of religious right wing fanatics.

It just shows you some incite in the warped minds of some of these people who probably regard themselves as law abiding citizens but have really got no idea where to draw the line on the punishment system. Because they're deeply evil inside, have no limits or standards when it comes to others and no empathy for the treatment of prisoners, because they see themselves as better than everyone else.

They remind me of drug addicts who've become bored in life and want to find new parameters to make life more exiting but don't consider what it would be like if they were to be tortured.

The question is how much was he paid to say it? Or is this person just the vindictive criminal he always was?

Having legal knowledge and understanding I'd say his motive is more likely cunning and manipulative!

Faris said it would be acceptable to use torture in criminal investigations.

"A psychopathic murderer has buried a teenage girl alive and he is captured by the police," an example on Mr Faris's blog website says.

"He refuses to say where she is. He taunts the police with his knowledge. Torture is acceptable to find the girl and to save her life."

Mr Faris said his example was taken from the film Dirty Harry.

And the answer to that one is he watches too much television and torture won't reveal the truth but any answer as long as it relieves the pain.

In the case of terrorism, Mr Faris says: "A militant Islamic group in Iraq is holding a hostage in an unknown location and is threatening to kill the hostage.

"A member of that group is captured, but refuses to disclose the whereabouts of the hostage and the rest of the group. Torture is acceptable."

Ouch!

He said there were no guarantees that torture would work? - "if you don't get the information, you don't get the information"?

But shame about the pain that wasn't inflicted onto him?

However, "to pull out a fingernail of a terrorist in order to save a couple of million lives" was morally right, he said.

"I'm not saying 'let's legislate immediately'," Mr Faris said.

He's saying lets cover-up for the HoWARd Government!

"What I'm trying to establish is that this is a legitimate issue to be on the table for debate ... but people start saying you're a Nazi because you want to debate it."

I'd say he needs mental treatment either that or he gets paid too much and offered too much prestige by a bunch of stooges who still want HoWARd to pat himself on the back for his war crimes against humanity.

Mr Faris said legislating for torture was not an ideal situation.

"It's certainly not a society we want, the problem is these problems are thrust upon us by war ... they may be thrust upon us by a psychotic individual." Like you!

Meanwhile, Professor Bagaric last week attracted an avalanche of criticism, after revelations of his support for torture.

The paper, also written by Deakin law lecturer Julie Clarke, argues the case for the torture of suspects - even to the point of death - in a bid to obtain information.
