What's the Difference Between CHINA and AUSTRALIA?

If John Howard's terror law comes into effect, what is the difference between China, and Australia? No rifle executions?

I think it is time to approach the Governor General, to dissolve Parliament on the basis that the present Government is attempting to achieve Dictatorial Powers.

The proposed terror laws are, I believe, a betrayal of our War Dead, and the very reason for which our Servicemen and Servicewomen fought in WW1, and WW11, and Korea; that is the right to live in a Common Law Country with Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Movement, Freedom to Work & Trade, and the essential Freedom to organise a Political Party to engage in the Democratic Process.

I further believe that the present Government of Australia, under the Prime Ministership of John Howard, is attempting by the new proposed Industrial Relations Laws to deprive employed Australians of their rights to lawful appeal regarding their wages and conditions.

In seeking to deny Lawful Debate in the Australian Parliament on both the terror laws and the industrial relations laws, I believe John Winston Howard is bringing the Parliament of Australia into disrepute.

He promised when he achieved a possible voting control of the House of Representative and the Senate that he would treat all matters seriously, despite enjoying a Party Majority in both Houses, and that he would not abuse his Party Majority.

However his behaviour, ridicules the very notion of Lawful Debate.eg. Seeking to ram through the terror laws on Melbourne Cup Day - our day of national celebration. Even though he has changed this, it was only done after bi-partisan requests and in no way indicates a change of his intent.

At the very least, these two important changes - IR Laws and Terror Laws deserve the use of a Public Referendum.

However, in seeking to obtain a de facto Dictatorship, and subvert the lawful debate of Parliament, John Howard, has brought both the Parliament and the Head of State into disrepute, and positioned both as a perceived oppressor in waiting, of the Australian People.

In other words, the Australian People, in suffering these laws to pass, and a One Party State, and then experiencing their application, are being induced to revile both the Government of Australia and the Head of State.

At the very least, these matters deserve Public Referendums, as also many Liberals, long in the Party, abhor these measures.

Even the Menzies legislation meant to ban the Communist Party was put out to referendum, rather than being rammed through on Melbourne Cup Day!

All of us wish to fight terrorism, however, enough legal protection is in place already.

Meanwhile our lead City, Sydney, and our main import facility for containers is in chaos. We can thank the Howard Government for that in no small measure.

Wouldn't we in Australia be better, with the Governor General dissolving Parliament and appointing a caretaker Prime Minister until a new election and referendums could be held?

When Terrorism Outlaws Democracy
On September 27, 2005, Australian democracy surrendered to terrorism. On that day, a coalition of willing federal and state leaders agreed to anti-terrorism legislation that will enable police persecution of the Muslim community and threaten dissidents with imprisonment. Australia, with its history of penal colonies, racism and detention centers, is now set to become a police state.

Adler faces jail disciplinary charges?

Rodney Adler will face disciplinary charges for allegedly carrying out business activities from jail after the prison authorities illegally scanned his mail in a minimum-security prison in breach of the Federal Postal Act.

After rotten ron woodham the commissioner of Corruptive Services who works for the corrupt injustice minister john hatzistergoose, who incidentally works for the corrupt premier bob carr, the longest serving dictator in NSW history, passed on the alleged contraband mail to the Australian Securities Commission for corrupt 'prospects'.

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) decided there was no breach of the Corporations Act.

So what was all the fuss about really?

PUNISHMENT!

Mr Adler was transferred from the Kirkconnell minimum-security prison in New South Wales to a higher security prison last weekend after allegations he was secretly carrying out business while pretending to help his children with homework.

ASIC says despite being banned from managing a company for 20 years, seeking company reports is allowed.

JUST LIKE CHECKING YOUR PERSONAL MAIL AND RESPONDING TO IT, NO CRIME AT ALL!

Double Jeopardy

But NSW injustice minister john hatzistergoose now says Adler will be presented with disciplinary charges shortly and given a chance to plead in front of the governor of Bathurst jail without legal representation.

WHAT A BONUS TOWARDS AN INJUSTICE PACKAGE!

Not a Judge mind you or even a Magistrate he's got to beg the jailer for mercy AFTER HE'S BEEN SET-UP? After he's been victimised and set up on a false and misleading charge. Does someone owe him or what?

Hatzistergoose: "And it does also allow him an opportunity to examine any witnesses the department may call in relation to the issue," he said.

ACTUALLY I'D CALL rOTTEN rON wOODHAM bOB cARR and jOHN hATZIZTERGOOSE!

HOSTILE? MABEE!

He says while there could be withdrawal of privileges any change to his sentence would be up to the Commonwealth.

But only a couple of days ago the daily terror reported it was segregating Adler in a protection wing.

bob carr says the state's prison officers deserve to be congratulated for being on top of Adler's dealings in jail.

But that's rubbish in the highest order and bob carr should hold his head in shame, re-order his prison guards to do their job properly instead of setting upon and setting up prisoners who are disabled by being in custody.

This is a well-planned political attack and at all material times bob carr having complete knowledge that they have Mr Adler in their full control, 24/7.

Therefore bob carr must take full responsibility for his injustice minister. So should his injustice minister stand down, and his cronies in the prison system given better instructions about how to do their job properly - instead of going about bullying and illegally reading other peoples mail to find alleged examples of contraband, just to mess people up, for political pay backs!

bob carr's filibustering to the community about his pre-emptive radical plan should be recognised for what it is, not what he makes it out to be, after all the evidence supplied to (ASIC) was flawed.

To even be tried again by the governor of the prison is an abuse of process and systemic abuse at that. carr says he thought Adler would have learnt his lesson by now and says he is being treated like any other criminal in jail?

Actually I think it's time bob carr learnt his lesson, that you can fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. And the very reason he comes undone here is that this is a re occurring pattern that his government has used against high profiled prisoners time and time again!

"The message I want to send is that Rodney Adler in the prison system is going to be treated like any street pickpocket," carr said.

"He's not going to get any special attention or privileges, taking account of his previous status as a high flyer in Sydney and I think the system is asserting that."

And that's why the prisoners keep coming back to jail because whilst they are there minding their own business doing their time they are being manipulated to the point of frustration and being negatively reinforced in prison for trying.

Provided Mr Adler is left alone to serve his time he has the skill to get out of the place and never go back. But unlike so many other prisoners who lack those skills they have virtually no chance at all!

Clearly what the evidence 'shows' in this case should set an example, that what the 'system' is asserting is the corrupt power of the State over those held in custody. Whereas the State prison system should at all material times have a duty of care and rehabilitation to prisoners.

Aust-Pakistan Accord?

Fascist PRIME Minister John HoWARd will sign an agreement with Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf today.

General Musharraf is in Australia for a three-day visit and will officially meet Mr Howard in Canberra today to sign the agreement and discuss trade issues.

Pakistan: the failing Seam State of note

"Pakistan Without Illusions," editorial, New York Times, 9 July, p. A18. No comment required on this one. It's just a great but very sobering NYT editorial that follows in full:

Pakistan Without Illusions

Pakistan's military dictator, Gen. Pervez Musharraf, has done such a good job of repackaging himself as a vital American ally against radical Islamic terrorism that it is easy to forget how alarming Washington rightly found so many of General Musharraf's policies not very long ago.

He crushed Pakistani democracy, was, at the least, recklessly indifferent to safeguards against the proliferation of nuclear weapons and supported the Taliban and the terrorist groups active in Indian-ruled areas of Kashmir.

General Musharraf publicly broke with the Taliban almost three years ago, but there has been inadequate progress on many of the other issues, and Pakistan has recently appeared to be backsliding on the Taliban.

Many of the biggest dangers America faces over the next few decades are present in General Musharraf's Pakistan, starting with the way arbitrary dictatorships like his have become dangerous pressure cookers of discontent across the Muslim world.

Ever since he seized power in a 1999 coup, General Musharraf has promised an early return to electoral democracy. Almost five years later, he still shows no inclination to share or yield power eventually, and he still derives his authority solely from control of the Army.

Leading civilian politicians remain banned. Even the powerless prime minister named to add a veneer of electoral legitimacy to military rule was fired last month for proving insufficiently docile.

The spread of nuclear weapons to a lengthening list of erratic and belligerent countries rightly terrifies Americans. Now we know that the man who helped develop nuclear weapons for Pakistan, Abdul Qadeer Khan, was the international godfather of rogue nuclear programs, helping countries like Iran, Libya and North Korea acquire nuclear bomb technology and materials.

Earlier this year, under strong American pressure, Pakistan questioned and then pardoned Dr. Khan. This questioning yielded important clues about several countries' secret nuclear efforts. But there is no way of knowing for sure how high Dr. Khan's protection went and whether his nuclear arms bazaar is now truly closed.

Pakistan's relationship to radical Islamic terrorism remains dangerously ambiguous. Historically, military leaders, including General Musharraf, openly used the Taliban and terrorist groups in Kashmir to advance Pakistan's strategic objectives.

That is now supposed to have stopped. After the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in the United States, General Musharraf broke ties with the Taliban government and let Washington use bases on Pakistani soil to support the invasion of Afghanistan. Recently, he sent Pakistan's Army into the tribal territories bordering Afghanistan, in a not tremendously successful effort to hunt down Taliban and Al Qaeda fighters. But General Musharraf still lets Taliban leaders operate and recruit elsewhere on that border.

This year, General Musharraf promised to end the infiltration of insurgents from Pakistani territory into the Indian-ruled part of Kashmir. He seems to be keeping his word, but he has not taken on the groups that train and arm these militants.

General Musharraf is not an apocalyptic zealot like Osama bin Laden, an erratic recluse like North Korea's leader, Kim Jong Il, or a public vilifier of America, like Iran's ruling clerics. But neither is he a convinced or convincing ally in the struggle against radical Islamic terrorism, nuclear weapons proliferation and destructive dictatorship.

You can call Musharraf a good man in a tough spot and live with the illusion that Pakistan is somehow logically counted among our allies in a global war on terrorism, or you can look at the country without illusions and see a failed state ruling over a failing society. Pakistan is a Seam State in geography only; otherwise one should logically count it among those states deeply lost to the Gap.

During his talks with Mr Howard, Gen Musharraf will ask for Australian assistance to help Pakistan exploit its extensive mineral resources, as well as to develop food processing industries.

Pakistan also wants to grab a greater share of Australia's huge appetite for textiles, currently dominated by China.

Gen Musharraf will also hold talks with Opposition Leader Kim Beazley today before flying to Sydney to meet Fascist Premier Bob Carr.

His final official engagement will be an address to the Asia Society in Sydney on Thursday before he flies to New Zealand.

Illustration: Pakistan approaches boiling point

The US State Department's recent report "Supporting Human Rights and Democracy: The US Record 2004-2005" has added salt to the wounds. Parts of the report are blunt. They state that the Pakistani military remains heavily engaged in politics, the government's human-rights record remains poor, and political parties are generally weak, with undemocratic institutions centered on personalities instead of policies.

The judiciary also came in for criticism as being "corrupt, inefficient and malleable to political pressure". It also said "politically motivated prosecutions of opposition figures continue, as do concerns that opposition leaders or their parties are not always allowed to function freely ... Security forces have committed numerous human-rights abuses, including extrajudicial killings and torture. Societal discrimination and violence against women and religious minorities persist."

Howard's Job Network Bailout

Up to 670,000 people on disability support pensions will be encouraged to sign up to the Job Network under a radical new plan to get disabled people off social services and into work.

The Government believes as many as 150,000 people on disability pensions will move off social security and into jobs if the pilot scheme is expanded, potentially saving $1billion a year in social welfare payments.

But industry sources told us the pilot was effectively a bail-out of the 12 Job Network providers who had told the Government they were facing a funding crisis.

One of the nation's largest job agencies that helps unemployed disabled people find work collapsed last month.

The provider, Options Community Enterprise, employed more than 120 people across nine sites in Australia and was forced into voluntary administration after running out of money.

Job Network providers will be offered cash to run advertising campaigns to promote the scheme and to employ staff to contact disability pension recipients.

They will also receive a "commencement fee" of between $800 and $1200, and between $1100 and $6600 each time they place a disabled person in work.

[Corporate welfare!]

This payment is considerably more than the $60 to $90 fee the agents currently receive for handling ordinary first-time job-seekers.

Department of Employment and Workplace Relations deputy secretary Bob Correll told us yesterday the scheme would save taxpayers money and offer disability pension recipients the training and intensive assistance they required to re-enter the workforce.

"We believe that one in five people who are on the disability support pension could potentially move into employment," Mr Correll said.

"The individual gains and the taxpayer gains because they don't have to pay for as many disability support pensions."

[At what cost to the social fabric, sick and disabled workers? Why is it all about taxpayers? What happens when those taxpayers become sick, disabled and can't work? Make then work? What about their entitlements, after being worked sick? They paid taxes and they have the right to social services and social security if they get sick or disabled.]

The new strategy is designed to reduce the $2.6billion a year the federal Government currently spends on disability pensions.

Under the six-month pilot program, disabled people will be contacted by phone or letter or through community service organisations, and disability pension recipients will be asked to sign up to training and job-search programs.

One-third of the people on the disability support pension have musculoskeletal or connective tissue conditions, and almost 25 per cent have psychological and psychiatric conditions.

Mr Correll revealed yesterday that the plan followed a policy direction from Treasury Secretary Ken Henry, who said Australia's main economic challenge was to increase the proportion of the population taking part in the labour market.

Twelve Job Network agencies already hired by the federal Government to assist disabled people have been given an extra $840,000 to trial the program.

[Corporate welfare!]

If the pilot proves successful, Mr Correll said the federal Government would pump more money into Job Network and ask all of Australia's 110 agencies to approach all disability support pension recipients.

He warned that employers would face skill shortages if they did not look to disabled people as potential workers.

People on the disability support pensions are not currently required to sign up with Job Network providers to receive social security payments. But the federal Government is hoping many will sign up after being convinced of the merits of work. [?]

Mr Correll warned that Australia desperately needed to stem the decline of labour market participation rates, a result of an ageing population.

He said his department was working with industry to identify the areas where disabled people could work, with retail and hospitality at the top of the list.

[To bad about all that money wasted on war? How is that more important than an ageing population that needs a social security net after working all their lives?]

Six of the 12 Job Network providers have signed up to the pilot scheme and Mr Correll said he expected the other six to come on board.

[Why not it's corporate welfare. Why pay disabled people a living wage when they can force them to work and pay corporations their sick benefits?]

Mr Correll denied it was a bail-out but did concede it might help with their financial problems.

"This could reduce the number of people on disability support pensions . . . so it could save the Government money," he said.

Ed: You want to save the government money then get out of Afghanistan and Iraq and spend those billions on social security for disabled people who can't work. Allow the ex-prisoners to work regardless of past mistakes see links.

MERRY XMAS MR LATHAM

If you don't vote 1 the Greens next federal election the neo-Liberals are in bed with Labor and they don't give one "iota" about your human rights or social justice.

ARE YOUR RIGHTS BEING TAKEN AWAY? BY ONE PARTY? OR TWO?

DOES IT LOOK LIKE THE DICTATOR HOWARD IS THE PROBLEM?

OR MORE LIKE LABOR NOT GETTING IT UP THAT'S THE PROBLEM?

WELL YOU ARE WRONG TWICE THAT'S THE PRETEND DEAL. NOT THE REAL DEAL BUT THE DEAL YOU HAVE WHEN YOU DON'T TELL ANYONE ELSE ABOUT THE DEAL YOU HAVE WITH GEORGE DUBYA BUSH.

"Mark Latham's honeymoon has continued into Christmas. In just two weeks, the new Opposition Leader has wiped out the previous losses of Simon Crean and got closer to John Howard than any Labor leader in more than two years writes the Un-Australian newspaper."

But Latham was put there to lose! Blind Blinky could see that.
Oh what a feeling "iota"

If you don't vote 1 the Greens next federal election the neo-Liberals are in bed with Labor and they don't give one "iota" about your human rights or social justice.

The fact is the States are happy being Labor and the Lib's are happy selling off Australia to the US, lock, stock, barrels and US bases, FOR COLD HARD CASH, BELIEVE IT OR NOT!

What an agreement, the "We Own Australia Party" and "I'm All Right Jack".

Shame about the peasants! So before you wish your brother George Dubya Bush was here? Look at the next round of rights that are being taken away.
SAVE OUR SENATE AND STRENGTHEN DEMOCRACY?

The senate's ability to act as an important check on government is under threat.

[War criminal], Prime Minister and dictator John Howard wants to now stop the Senate from doing its job of holding the government to account and scrutinising its legislation.

He wants to change the Australian Constitution to effectively strip the Senate of its power to improve bills or oppose them?

The changes would turn the Senate into a replica of the House of Representatives a chamber that rubber stamps the Federal Governments legislation no matter how objectionable it is?

The Un-Austalian newspaper :
"Mr Latham's personal support has grown rapidly since his election and he is now virtually equal to the best personal ratings Mr Crean had in two years."

"As well, Labor's primary vote, up six points to 41 per cent since the end of November, has jumped in Mr Crean's absence and the ALP is now back to the levels of support it had before the Tampa asylum-seeker controversy and September 11. Crucially, support for the ALP and Mr Latham's leadership appears to be coming from disaffected Labor voters and some of "Howard's battlers" who had deserted Labor."

Satisfaction with the way Mr Latham is doing his job as Opposition Leader, according to a Newspill survey conducted exclusively, for, you guessed it, taken for a fool....

The Un-Australian newspaper last weekend: "Latham is up from his initial rating of 32 per cent to 41 per cent. Mr Crean's highest satisfaction rating was 42 per cent, more than a year ago."

They're pretty sure the dope Latham is our best chance to "Rock the End of the Dictator Howard" just so you can put down your worry stick and have a nice Xmas dinner without any fear.

Bob Carr's pretty confident in Latham otherwise he'd be jumping for the reigns?

Bad luck, NSW is in want of more need, otherwise there would be a real challenge for Howard the Dictator V's Carr the Dictator, just comes down to the best Dictator then, and that makes it simple.

The Un-Ausrtalian: "The real encouragement for Labor's new generation of leadership is Mr Latham's rapidly rising performance against John Howard as preferred prime minister. "

That is until the gates open on the election and the wrath fills the airwaves bonging Latham on the head. Latham for having a bad mouth and calling Howard a Bush licker. Latham for having a bad first marriage. Not to mention twisting the taxi drivers arm etc.

The Un-Australian: "In two weeks, Mr Howard's rating as the preferred prime minister has dropped 19 percentage points from 65 per cent at the end of November to 46 per cent last weekend. "

"Mr Latham's first rating has lifted from 26 per cent in the first week of December to 31 per cent last weekend.

The 15-point gap is the closest a Labor leader has been to Mr Howard since the dying days of the 2001 election campaign."

John Howard is a dictator: Australia

Zimbabwe's ambassador to Australia has been called in to the Department of Foreign Affairs this morning after describing Prime Minister John Howard as a dictator.

But he's not the only one calling for the dictator's head. Most Australians would say the same thing in relation to Howard's behaviour in the last 2 years.

The diplomatic row comes just days after Zimbabwe quit the Commonwealth.

Florence Chitauro, Zimbabwe's ambassador, accused Howard of acting like a dictator in his position as chairman of the Commonwealth troika on Zimbabwe.

Most Australian's would say Howard acted as a dictator in relation to asylum seekers, in relation to the illegal and degrading wars on Afghanistan and Iraq, in relation to draconian laws and in relation to interfering with Australia's political process by jailing One Nation's co-founders Pauline Hanson amd David Ettridge.

Australian citizens gave Ms Chitauro a diplomatic blessing this morning.

She was told the Australian citizens were "not surprised" by her comments and that Australia accepts those sort of true observations, which are helpful and appropriate.
