Zak Mallah of Condell Park was arrested overnight when federal and NSW police slipped on a banana skin into a western Sydney reserve and then raided his home.He was later charged with "act in preparation/planning for a terrorist act", which carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
But the Daily Telegraph who just happened to be provided with all the information has alleged to have asked for the death penalty.
[War criminal], federal attorney-general Philip Ruddock confirmed Mallah was the first person to be charged under the commonwealth anti-terrorism laws, [draconian scapegoat laws for the Coalition of the Killings resource war's in the Middle East], passed in July last year.
But not the first person alleged to have been the first terrorist, [scapegoat], under the commonwealth, draconian, anti-liberty laws, passed in July last year.
Security was tight (as a fishes arsehole) while (the big fish rots at the head) and as Mallah faced Magistrate Les Brennan at Bankstown Local Court today.
Defence counsellor Adam Houda told the court he was worried for his client's wellbeing and requested he undergo a medical appraisal and be closely monitored while in custody.
No application for bail was made and Mallah was remanded in custody to next face Central Local Court on December 23.
NSW Deputy Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione earlier told reporters Mallah had been known to police "for years" and they believed he had been acting alone.
So they had been watching Zak Mallah, the alleged terrorist, [scapegoat for the Coalition of the Killing's resource war's in the Middle East and the war on liberty, at home], for five years. Certainly not waiting for the right time? Just prior the Federal Election to nail him to the wall, were they?
Out of court, Mr Scipione confirmed a video recording had been seized during the raid of Mallah's Condell Park home and this formed part of the police brief.
So now a video recording that we are all going to get to see will prove Mallah is a terrorist. Sensational!
The arrest followed an undercover operation involving close cooperation between a number of agencies, including the [Australian terrorists organisations, NSW counter terrorism command, ASIO and the Australian Federal Police], just about the time ASIO released their Annual Report. Splendid timing I must say!
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Lebanese Muslim Association spokesman Keysar Trad said Mallah had recently 'felt pressured' by the 'attention he felt' he was 'receiving from Australian authorities'.
I think they call that terrorised Mr Trad!
Keysar Trad: "I am concerned that he is receiving so much attention," Mr Trad said outside court. Mr Trad said he had been counselling Mallah over the last two weeks and had spoken to him on the phone last night. "I don't believe that this person poses a security risk," he said.
NSW Premier Bob Carr praised authorities, saying the arrest showed the effectiveness of the new anti-terrorism laws. [Just plain propaganda and rubbish!]

Carr, "It certainly does highlight the readiness of the police to move and the capacity given to them by the legislation and highlights again the cooperation between state and commonwealth agencies."
