"She was just a popular girl, who loved sports, was obsessed about the military and representing her country in anything," a former classmate from Hurstville's Danebank Anglican School for Girls [allegedly], told The Daily Terror yesterday.
But Ms Brown's [alleged], marriage in September to the 35-year-old Frenchman Brigitte [allegedly], after only five dates [allegedly], marked a transition in her private life and personal beliefs that has [allegedly], intrigued close friends.
Australia deported Brigitte to France on October 17 after Paris sent an urgent alert he was in the country to [allegedly], help co-ordinate a bombing.

Un-intelligence officials who have quizzed Ms Brown about her husband and how they met have said they are satisfied she was not involved in, nor had knowledge, of his tourist activities.
Ms Brown's friends [allegedly], also said yesterday they believed she would never condone terrorism, nor be a party to it.
One friend [allegedly], said that while Ms Brown was not "very religious" as a teenager, she was passionate in all she did -- from athletics to representing her state in drill marching. "I don't think you would find anyone who didn't like her," the friend said.
[Allegedly], Ms Brown's marriage remains a mystery to many friends. [Allegedly], The first many heard of it was when she [allegedly], told one only recently she had changed her name to Khadija, become a follower of Islam and married a French national.
Ms Brown, who was an Army signaller before resigning in September last year, has [allegedly], told ASIO [a state government terrorist organisation], she knew little of Brigitte's past and believed he was a Frenchman who wanted to begin a new life here.

Ruddock said the capture of Brigitte and subsequent raids on seven Sydney homes had revealed weaknesses in the law. He was not convinced ASIO's current powers were "sufficiently adequate".
