At least 30 people have been killed and as many wounded in a powerful bomb explosion at a religious rally in the central Pakistani city of Multan, police and ambulance workers said.
A rally in commemoration of assassinated extremist Sunni religious leader Azim Tariq was dispersing at 4:40am (local time) when the powerful explosion took place, police said.
"A bomb exploded in a rally in which 30 people have been killed and almost the same number have been wounded," Abdul Rauf, an official for Edhi ambulance service, said.
