Don't) mention the word J**

Mention the word Jew in anything except reverential tones and it's like calling the Pope a paedophile. Talk about walking on soft-boiled eggs as Muddy Waters used to sing.

Such is the lock the Zionist propaganda machine has on the way anything to do with Israel is reported that even 'Jews' are not exempt from the wrath of the Zionist disinfo blitz as the various vicious campaigns being conducted on university campuses amply demonstrate against so-called self-hating Jews who don't fall into line behind the mythology of the Zionist state testifies to.

Now many in the West excuse this craven obeisance by putting it down to some kind of collective guilt about the 'Holocaust', oh that such guilt should extend to my Roma brethren, who were also exterminated in their millions and to this day, remain the 'niggers' of Europe, excluded, ghettoized and victimised.

Where are the endless stream of documentaries and rending of garments concerning our treatment of the Roma people? Where are the daily news stories about the continued treatment of the Roma right across Europe, let alone what the Nazis did to them sixty years ago?

However, talk of Jews as a 'race' controlling the media, banks etc, is not only incorrect, it entirely misses the point about the role Zionism plays in the imperialist project and indeed the key role that Zionism has played throughout the 20th century as a weapon of imperialism.

Worse still, Zionism has virtually nothing to do with being Jewish, it's yet another sleight of hand pulled by imperialism. Being Jewish, which aside from its religious connection is very much a state of mind, which just goes to show how successful the propaganda has been in creating an illusion about the Jewish 'race'.

We declare openly that the Arabs have no right to settle on even one centimeter of Eretz Israel ... Force is all they do or ever will understand. We shall use the ultimate force until the Palestinians come crawling to us on all fours. - Rafael Eitan, chief of staff of the Israel Defense Forces, quoted in Yediot Ahronot, April 13, 1983, and The New York Times, April 14, 1983

Can you imagine what the reaction of the Western media would have been if the statement above had been made a Palestinian, or indeed anyone who is not Jewish? So how is it that Israeli Zionists can get away with such obviously racist statements?

Central to the issue of Israel and 'Jews' is the ideology of racism as an essential element in the class war being waged against all who oppose the imperium. An ideology used to divide and rule, an ideology so pervasive that it completely determines any and all debate about Israel, whether it be the 'right' that Jews allegedly have to 'return' through to the way the West regards Palestinians and its brazen acceptance of being 'Jewish' as a justification for theft, murder and oppression.

Israel may have the right to put others on trial, but certainly no one has the right to put the Jewish people and the State of Israel on trial. - Ariel Sharon

For anyone has been following the massive propaganda campaign that has been conducted over the 'evacuation' of settlers in Gaza, one thing is clear; Palestinians are obviously non-people for how else can one explain the gulf between press coverage of the relocation of the settlers with the following statistics

1,719 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip from the end of September 2000 until today; and according to various estimates, some two-thirds of them were unarmed and were not killed in battles or during the course of attempts to attack a military position or a settlement.

Based on figures from the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, of those killed, 379 were children under the age of 18; 236 were younger than 16; 96 were women; and 102 were the objectives of targeted liquidations during the course of which the Israel Defense Forces also killed another 95 individuals who, according to the military too, were "innocent" bystanders.

Some 9,000 Gaza residents were injured; 2,704 homes to some 20,000 people were razed by the IDF's bulldozers and assault helicopters; 2,187 were partially destroyed. Some 31,650 dunams of agricultural land were left scorched.

'The remaining 99.5 percent' Amira Hass

Were such statistics to be about Israelis, again, imagine the clamour in the Western media! There is only one explanation for the existence of such a vast chasm between press coverage of Israel and that of the Palestinians and that is the role racism plays in reducing Palestinians to that of sub-humans, but don't take my word for it, let the Zionists own words speak for them

[The Palestinians] are beasts walking on two legs - Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin, speech to the Knesset - New Statesman, June 25, 1982.

And these words are by no means the exception, they underpin the central thrust of the Israeli state's propaganda war which is to project 'Jews' as the eternal victim, and of course, the epithet 'anti-semite' is synonymous with any criticism made of the Israeli state's colonial/imperialist objectives.

May the Holy Name visit retribution on the Arab heads, and cause their seed to be lost, and annihilate them.

It is forbidden to have pity on them. We must give them missiles with relish, annihilate them. Evil ones, damnable ones - Israeli Rabbi Ovadia Yosef , Ha'aretz April 12, 2001

Is this Osama bin Laden speaking or the so-called pinnacle of Western civilisation, our 'Judeo-Christian' culture? And the propaganda campaign is endless without a day passing when there isn't some reference to the 'plight' of the Jews in the Western media. Interminable documentaries on the suffering of the Jews at the hands of the Nazis but rarely a mention of the many millions of others who were exterminated using the same methodical and ruthless system. So complete is the appropriation of the Holocaust by the Zionists I am surprised the word hasn't been trademarked.

And the following statement sums up the policy of the state of Israel and points to how fundamental the role of racism is in relegating first and foremost Palestinians and then the Arabs to that of a sub-human species from the very beginning of the founding of Israel, hence betraying the notion that the current response is to Palestinian 'terrorists'.

The state... must see the sword as the main if not the only, instrument with which to keep its morale high and to retain its moral tension. Toward this end it may know it MUST invent dangers, and to do this it must adopt the method of provocation and revenge... And above all, let us hope for a new war with the Arab countries so that we may finally get rid of our troubles and acquire our space - Diary of Moshe Sharett, Israeli's first Foreign Minister from 1948-1956, and Prime Minister from 1954-1956.

The parallels with the Nazi concept of 'lebensraum' or loving space is not lost on me even if it is ignored by the Western media.

Instead, Western media coverage continues to misrepresent the reality of the illegal Israeli occupation, so we read in an article titled 'Israeli PM faces West Bank gamble' on the BBC News Website today, 25/8/05

Even as Israeli forces moved in to clear four West Bank settlements, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon reaffirmed his commitment to settlement construction.

Mr Sharon was referring to the large blocs of Ariel and Maale Adumim, and controversial plans for new suburbs linking the latter to Jerusalem.

He has made no secret of his intention to hold on the major West Bank blocs.

No mention of the fact that all the settlements on the West Bank are illegal, instead they are presented to us "controversial". The piece ends once again by placing the responsibility on the Palestinians

Much now depends upon what happens in Gaza.

Will the Palestinians focus on peaceful reconstruction or will radical groups seek to use the abandoned settlements as launch-pads for attacks into Israel?

Will violence simply move from Gaza to the West Bank, where the Israeli Army will still patrol the area of the evacuated settlements?

Israeli PM faces West Bank gamble

Thus the issue of the vast bulk of the illegal settlements on the West Bank is neatly sidestepped as the BBC's report is already setting the stage for the next series of hoops that the Palestinians will have to jump through.

Through continually misrepresenting the reality of continued land grabs, not to mention the genocidal policies of Sharon's government in carving up what's left of any putative 'Palestinian state', as being dependent on the actions of Palestinian "radicals", the media avoid the issue of Israel's illegal policies. And in fact, the BBC article, quoted from above, doesn't once mention that the actions of Israel are in fact illegal under international law as well as innumerable UN resolutions going back for thirty years.

What has to be emphasised is the fact that I picked the BBC article pretty well at random, it could have been one of literally dozens of articles from a wide range of 'news' sources, all of whom ignore the fundamental reality of Israel's policies toward the Palestinians and focus instead on how 'unreasonable' the Palestinians are, or how they had to 'curb' the actions of 'radicals' before Israel even conceded to rehousing a mere 2% or so of the 450,000 illegal settlers on what's left of any future Palestine. And note here that unlike the 2700 Palestinian homes destroyed by the Israelis since September 2000, with armoured bulldozers and helicopter gunships, sometimes with the inhabitants still inside, the Israeli settlers will be rehoused (at US taxpayers expense), many on the continually expanding settlements on the West Bank. The same cannot be said of the Palestinians whose lives and livelihoods have been destroyed.

As some reportage has made plain, Gaza is now one big prison instead of four, yet what this means, what it says about Israeli policies toward the Palestinians is still ignored by the mainstream press, even as the words are uttered.

There can only be one explanation for such a deliberate myopia and that is a racism so entrenched in Western news coverage that it can blatantly ignore the awful injustice of Israeli actions and policies. It points once more to something I will continue express 'til I die, that the ideology of racism is a major stumbling block to opening peoples' eyes to what is going on in the world and that until we face this reality, we cannot begin to deal with our rulers actions, let alone our own role in allowing the continuance of such an unjust world.

JUDAISM AND ZIONISM Part 1 of 5

Rabbi Goldstein gives a historic overview of zionism and the creation of the zionist state, explaining its incompatibility with Judaism. Neturei Karta (Jews against zionism) 23 December 2001. Rabbi Goldstein explained to his Muslim audience that whilst for Mr. Arafat and the Palestinian Authority its a political struggle and they may compromise with the zionist state and settle for 50%, 25% or whatever they can get, he cannot do that. Ideologically religious Jews cannot recognise any part of the zionist state. "...The Muslims people basically got involved in the fight against zionism when it started effecting them on a political basis which is 1917 for the Palestinians or afterwards for some of the other Arab countries, We [religious Jews] were in this fight from the 1890's roughly... As soon as it was founded [zionism], it was condemned - Jews came out and said this is atheistic, this is idol worship..." Poles honour their Pope

Mourners estimated to number 750,000 have attended a candle-lit mass for the late Pope John Paul II in the Polish city of Krakow.

Thousands of Poles are braving the cold in sleeping bags, keen to get a good place to watch the funeral on giant screens at the Blonia Park in Krakow.

It was there that John Paul II held open-air masses during his papal visits, attracting millions of worshippers.

Now, Poles are gathering to bid a final farewell to the Pope they call their own.

About 1 million Poles have made the pilgrimage to Rome, most making gruelling journeys by train, car or bus.

For those who could not make the trip, the Krakow services were the next best place to be.

May he rest in Holy Piss.......

Thousands of Europeans protest against Israeli barrier

Thousands of people have taken to the streets of Berlin, Geneva, Paris and Rome to protest against Israel's construction of a separation barrier and the situation of Palestinians on the occasion of Jerusalem Day.

In the French capital between 2,000 and 6,000 people joined a rally called by leftist and aid groups.

The demonstration was "part of an international campaign against the construction of the wall" annexing Palestinian territory, said Christian Piquet, a leading figure of the Revolutionary Communist League (LCR).

Mr Piquet estimated the number of demonstrators at 6,000, while police said 2,000 attended, among them members of Amnesty International, the Communist Party and the environmental Greens party.

"We are demonstrating so there will not be a wall between people and no people between the walls," said the spokesman for the group coordinating Palestinian committees, Rachid Abel.

A French Jewish group as well as anti-Zionist Orthodox rabbis, who argue that the existence of the state of Israel is illegal, also attended the protest.

In Berlin about 750 people, according to police estimates, most of them members of the Muslim community, also demonstrated against Israeli policies.

Veiled women carried pictures of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, who died on Thursday in Paris and was buried in the West Bank town of Ramallah Friday.

In Rome, several thousand people paid tribute to Mr Arafat and protested against Israel's security barrier in the West Bank.

Protesters carried banners condemning the "Wall of apartheid".

In Geneva, nearly 300 people took to the streets to protest against what they called Israel's "wall of shame" in the West Bank.

No incidents were reported.

The week, November 9-16, was chosen to coincide with celebrations marking the fall of the Berlin Wall on November 9, 1989.

Iran's late Ayatollah Khomenei initiated the annual Al-Qods (Arabic for Jerusalem) Day in 1979, to be held on the last Friday of Ramadan, for more Muslims around the world to show their solidarity with the Palestinians, who seek Jerusalem as a capital for an independent Palestine.

UN warns of Iraqi malnutrition

One in four Iraqis are dependent on food rations to survive and many of them have to sell what little food they have for basic necessities like medicine and clothes, the UN World Food Program (WFP) said.

In a grim report underscoring troubles in Iraq, the Rome based WFP said support from the state run Public Distribution System was grossly insufficient to prevent chronic malnourishment.

"The political environment before the war made it impossible to analyse the level of poverty and hunger in the country," said Torben Due, the director of the WFP's program in Iraq.

"For the first time, we are getting an accurate picture of people's access to food," he said in a statement.

Squarely blaming the situation on years of international sanctions and war, the WFP said that some 6.5 million Iraqis, or about 25 per cent of the population, were "highly dependent on food rations and therefore vulnerable".

Of those 6.5 million, 2.6 million resell part of their rations to buy other items, like medicine.

The survey on food security, which took place last year and covered 28,500 households in Iraq, also showed that 27 per cent of all children up to the age of five are chronically malnourished.

"Despite receiving food rations from Iraq's Public Distribution System, these people are still struggling to cope," Mr Due said.

"Once (Iraq) stabilises politically and economically it can take care of this portion of the population. But until that happens, external assistance will be required," he added.

The WFP receives most of its funding from the United States.

[The same country that pre-emptively struck Iraq, committing occupation, genocide, maiming and torture of the Sovereign Nation State.]

The group said it had launched a one year emergency operation that will cost $84 million and reach 220,000 malnourished children and 350,000 pregnant and lactating women.

The report comes at a time of increased scrutiny into the former UN oil-for-food program, the $94 billion humanitarian aid plan that operated from 1996 and was shut down last year.

It allowed Iraq to sell oil to buy civilian goods to ease the impact of 1991 Gulf War sanctions on ordinary Iraqis.

After the illegal and degrading invasion of Iraq and the fall of Saddam Hussein documents surfaced that appeared to show the program had been rife with bribery and kickbacks, prompting UN Secretary General Kofi Annan to order an investigation.

Vatican dispels Inquisition myths? Just plain rubbish!

The Inquisition reached its peak in the 16th Century. [?]

The Vatican has published a new study on the abuses committed by the medieval Inquisition and come to a rather surprising conclusion - that in fact the much feared judges of heresy were not as brutal as previously believed. [?]

See the real truth here: THE EMPIRE OF "THE CITY" (World Superstate) part 1

And here: THE EMPIRE OF "THE CITY" (World Superstate) part 2

According to the 800-page report, [allegedly], the Inquisition that spread fear throughout Europe throughout the Middle Ages did not use execution or torture to anything like the extent history would have us believe. [?]

In fact the book's editor, Professor Agostino Borromeo, claims that in Spain only 1.8% of those investigated by the notorious Spanish Inquisition were killed. [?]

Nonetheless, as the report was published, Pope John Paul II apologised once more for the interrogators' excesses, expressing sorrow for "the errors committed in the service of the truth by the recourse to non-Christian methods".

[What about all the children molested by the Catholic Church?]

[Allegedly], the recourse to torture and the death sentence weren't so frequent as it long has been believed Professor Agostino Borromeo. [?]

But the Pope stopped short of breaking the age-old Vatican rule on not condemning your predecessors. Pope Gregory IX created the Inquisition in 1233 to curb heresy, or denial of truths of the Catholic faith, but he was not mentioned in the Pope's statement.

Hunting heretics

After the Roman Catholic Church consolidated its power across Europe in the 12th and 13th Century, it set up the Inquisition to ensure that heretics did not undermine that authority.

It took the form of a network of ecclesiastical tribunals equipped with judges and investigators.

The punishments meted out for wrongdoers ranged from being forced to visit churches and make pilgrimages, to life imprisonment or execution by burning at the stake.

The report is the result of six-years of investigation

A key component of the Inquisition was that it did not wait for complaints and accusations to be made, but actively sought out so-called heretics, who included witches, diviners, blasphemers and members of other sects.

The accused did not have the right to face and question their accuser and it was acceptable to take testimony from criminals and excommunicated people.

[Allegedly], the Inquisition reached its peak in the 16th Century as it battled the Reformation, but its most famous trial was that of Galileo in 1633, condemned for claiming the earth revolved around the sun.

Death by burning

The Spanish Inquisition which became independent from the Vatican in the 15th Century, carried out some of the most infamous abuses under its "autos da fZ" or act of faith, shorthand for death by burning.

They zealously tortured victims, held summary trials, forced conversions and passed death sentences.

"If there are many or few cases, it doesn't matter. What's important is you don't say, 'I am right and you are wrong and I burn you' "Thomas Noffke, Waldensian pastor.

"There is no doubt that at the start, the planned procedures were applied with an excessive rigour, which in some cases degenerated into true abuses," the Vatican study simply says of this dark period.

But the Vatican report, the product of a six-year investigation, insists that the Inquisition was not as bad as often believed.

Professor Borromeo says for example that, [allegedly], for 125,000 trials of suspected heretics in Spain, less than 2% were executed. [?]

He says that often mannequins were burned to represent those tried in absentia [?] and condemned to death and heretics and witches who repented at the last minute were given some sort of relief when they were strangled before being burnt.

Little comfort

But for those connected with victims of the Inquisition, Vatican claims that it was not as bad as thought carry little weight.

Galileo was the Inquisition's most famous victim

Among those targeted by the interrogators were the Waldensians, members of a Protestant sect declared heretical in the 12th Century.

"If there are many or few cases, it doesn't matter. What's important is you don't say, 'I am right and you are wrong and I burn you'," said Thomas Noffke, a US-born Waldensian pastor in Rome.

According to the study, in the Inquisition's heyday Germany killed more male and female witches than anywhere else, with some 25,000 people being put to death.

In Lichtenstein just 300 people were executed for witchcraft, but this amounted to 10% of the tiny state's population.

Cardinal Roger Etchegaray, who was at the news conference where the study was presented, said that the lessons of history never come to an end.

Acknowledging the past was all the more relevant given the continued use of torture in the 21st Century, most notably by US troops against prisoners held in Iraq, he said.
