There is no such thing as an Indonesian anti-corruption body

A corrupt Indonesian government has now suggested that its anti-corruption body says it is investigating the judges who presided over the trial of Australian model Michelle Leslie on drug charges.

Don't blame me just because I am bored, I'm needy, I need to taste it all. Don't doubt me just because I am quiet. I'm thinking, thinking about it all.

But in Indonesia where they sanction state terror, there cannot be any such thing as an Anti-corruption body because the government in Indonesia is corrupt from the top down, but not for a song!

A Balinese court convicted Leslie after she was found in possession of two ecstasy pills and sentenced her to three months in jail.

Leslie was freed the day after the verdict was handed down as the judges took into account the time she had spent in jail during the trial.

After taking bribes the corrupt Indonesian government says its corrupt National Judicial Commission, which oversees judges in Indonesia, has confirmed that it is investigating the three-person panel responsible for the decision.

Say again? How can a filthy corrupt Indonesian government try and tell the world that they are going to get their national commission (that can only be corrupt) to investigate anything? And be believed?

An official says the sentence is regarded as being too lenient.

Sure, she should have at least got the death penalty?

How many pills would that take?

See through me when I put up a fight, like you to see the things I hide. Go deeper, than I won't let you know. I'm frightened but I won't let it show.

The commission is a set-up, a propaganda tool and a mechanism to try and bail out an embarrassed Indonesian government before the eyes of the world.

What right have the pro-government media institutions here got to try and brainwash the Australian people with nonsense and whitewash from the Indonesian authorities, trying to cover up their misdeeds?

This case is not as bad as blowing people up on the dance floor, in the cafes or at work at the Embassy because if that were what they were investigating then they'd have to start from the top down, in Indonesia.

Police 'had role in' Bali blasts

INDONESIAN [politicians,] police or military officers may have played a role in the 2002 Bali bombing, the country's former president, Abdurrahman Wahid has said.

In an interview with SBS's Dateline program, on the third anniversary of the [CIA false flag] bombing that killed 202 people, Mr Wahid says he has grave concerns about links between Indonesian authorities and terrorist groups. [CIA - Coalition of the Killing - NATO.]

While he believed terrorists were involved in planting one of the Kuta night club bombs, the second, which destroyed Bali's SariClub, had been organised by authorities.

Asked who he thought planted the second bomb, Mr Wahid said: "Maybe the police ... or the armed forces."

"The orders to do this or that came from within our armed forces, not from the fundamentalist people," he says.

The program also claims a key figure behind the formation of terror group Jemaah Islamiah was an Indonesian spy.

Former terrorist Umar Abduh, who is now a researcher and writer, told Dateline Indonesian authorities had a hand in many terror groups. [Or were complicit in State Terror for whoever but not for a song. How about and Australian grant of say $48 Million]

Documents cited by SBS showed the Indonesian chief of military intelligence in 1990 authorised Hasbi to undertake a "special job".

A 1995 internal memo from the military intelligence headquarters in Jakarta included a request to use "Brother Fauzi Hasbi" to spy on Acehnese separatists in Indonesia, Malaysia and Sweden.

And a 2002 document assigned Hasbi the job of special agent for BIN, the Indonesian national intelligence agency.

Security analyst John Mempi told SBS that Hasbi, who was also known as Abu Jihad, had played a key role in JI in its early years.

"The first Jemaah Islamiah congress in Bogor was facilitated by Abu Jihad, after Abu Bakar Bashir returned from Malaysia," Mr Mempi said.

"We can see that Abu Jihad played an important role. He was later found to be an intelligence agent. So an intelligence agent has been facilitating the radical Islamic movement."

Hasbi was disembowelled in a mysterious murder in 2003 after he was exposed as a military agent and his son Lamkaruna Putra died in a plane crash last month.

Another convicted terrorist, Timsar Zubil, who set off three bombs in Sumatra in 1978, told the program intelligence agents had given his group a provocative name - Komando Jihad - and encouraged members to commit illegal acts.

"We may have deliberately been allowed to grow," he said.

Abduh also told the program his terrorist organisation, the Imron Movement, was incited to a range of violent action in the 1980s when the Indonesian military told the group that the assassination of several Muslim clerics was imminent.

Another [alleged] terrorism expert, George Aditjondro, said a bombing in May this year that killed 23 people in the Christian village of Tentena, in central Sulawesi, had been organised by senior military and police officers.

"This is a strategy of depopulating an area and when an area has been depopulated - both becoming refugees or becoming paramilitary fighters - then that is the time when they can invest their money in major resource exploitation there," he said.

Why I just had to resign from the Labor Party October 4, 2005

The ALP has become a branch office of the Liberals. It's sickening, writes Denise Allen.

Last Tuesday I resigned as a member of the Labor Party. I could no longer sit by and watch as the party I have loved since a child becomes a faction of the Howard Government.

My grandfather started the first local Alexandra branch of the Labor Party in my home town more than 80 years ago. From the age of five, I was allowed to sit on a chair in the kitchen and listen (as long as I was quiet) to the many Labor Party meetings that were held at our house because my father was secretary of the local branch for many years. I listened and learned. I grew up to be as passionate about the Labor Party as my grandfather, father, uncles and myriad relatives.

We were dedicated to social issues and a fair go for everyone. During the 1983 election, as I handed out how-to-vote cards, I wore a white T-shirt on which I had written on the front "J. C. for Victoria!" and on the back "God for Canberra!" (Referring to John Cain and Bob Hawke, of course.) Gosh, those were the passionate days when Labor was at its best.

I was a Labor devotee, a true believer, and anyone who knew me knew that politics was my subject of the day, every day.

In May 2000, I became the first Labor person and the first woman to win the state seat of Benalla after 97 years of conservative rule. It was the proudest moment of my life.

For the 21/2 years I was an MP it was the greatest honour as well as the greatest roller coaster ride of my life. It was exciting, rewarding, frustrating, depressing. I was heartbroken when, in 2002, the Nationals won the seat back. After working my butt off for two-and-a-half years and delivering more than $50 million in projects to the electorate, the majority of the voters went back to the party they said had deserted them. Go figure.

But over the past few years, I have sat back and watched the party I grew up passionate about, that was so much a part of our everyday thinking, move progressively further and further to the right and simply become another faction of the Howard Government with its me-too, me-too attitude.

In the past week, I have heard Kim Beazley talk about counter-terrorism laws that not only mirror, but seem to go further than, John Howard's. I have seen all the Labor premiers sign up to more of Howard's draconian anti-terrorism laws.

OK, you may say, it has to be done. We now live in dangerous times as we are constantly reminded every day with brainwashing anti-terror television and radio ads and silly fridge magnets.

But it is only so because the Howard Government's fear agenda has been allowed to flourish as the Labor Party has sat back like the little kid at school who gets sand kicked in his face and who is too frightened to upset the big boys.

The Labor Party I know would have fought tooth and nail against Australians' involvement in Iraq without UN sanctions. They would have protected Australia from terrorism by simply not being party to an illegal war. Their voices would have been loud and would have clearly defined what they stood for. The Labor Party I know would have countered Howard's fear agenda with one of peace.

This climate of fear is Howard's creation and instead of counteracting it with an alternative, forceful, intelligent debate, the Labor Party blindly accepts it and helps promote it.

Then there are the domestic issues on which Labor is so quiet.

Over the past week we have seen the plight of citrus growers across Australia. Not once have I heard anyone from the Labor Party calling on Mark Vaile, Minister for Trade, leader of the Nationals and Deputy Prime Minister, to explain where the Nationals are on this issue.

After all, aren't the Nationals the farmers' party? Why isn't the Labor Party making a mockery of the Nationals?

We are consistently losing Australian industry to cheap overseas suppliers, but where is Labor on this and every other contentious issue?

I'll tell you - in the shadows of the conservatives saying me-too, me-too.

Now we have Bob Hawke calling on Australia to be the garbage tip for nuclear waste. Money, money, money - that's what it is all about. Great idea Bob, not! Someone who was once part of my Labor Party dreamscape is now a bloody nightmare and just another apologist for conservative politics. The Silver Bodgie should go back to his million-dollar home in Vaucluse.

It frustrates the hell out of me - I can't stand it any more and I bet I'm not the only one.

Until more of the original Labor Party devotees stand up to be counted and go as far as resigning from the party, the party hacks and faceless factional men will continue to drag our party into the cesspool of conservative right-wing politics that is so alien to the traditional Labor Party true believers.

There are many good people in the Labor Party - where is their voice, why don't they stand up for their beliefs?

I want to scream it from the rooftops: "Where is my beloved Labor Party?" .. the one that was powerful and forthright, the one that took the fight up to the conservatives and gave them a run for their money.

For crying out loud .. this country desperately wants an effective Labor Party that will stand up for the rights of its people instead of being party to the denigration of our freedoms.

Where the hell are you? Why aren't you answering us? Why aren't you there for us?

This is not the Labor Party I grew up with, nor is it the Labor Party I want to be part of and, I have to tell you, it breaks my heart.

My father died last year - buried with his Labor Party life membership badge pinned to the lapel of his suit next to his war medals that he won fighting for the freedom of this country.

Now there was a proud Labor man and a true battler - a man who passionately stood up for everything he believed in.

I am sure he would turn in his grave if he knew his beloved Labor Party members are now simply sycophants of the Howard Government.

Programmes like "The Insiders" purport to be investigative and progressive, but inevitably wind up blowing Howard's bugle for him.

Piers Aching-man, perhaps "sorry Laurie" Oakes' main rival for 'aussie' asinine superiority, derides everyone who sees current events differently to him, and assails any/every (rare) comment that comes from the left field (David Marr or Misha). What is he inside? He is a despicable disinformation agent more than anything else.

Likewise, Andrew "nuts and" Bolt(s), sucks more effectively than expensive vacuum cleaners. He is a shameful conduit for state propaganda. I was once an empty-headed cocky, god-bothering know-it-all like him, too. Thankfully, I saw the 'light', and it was dark! Writing for mammon (even if under the banner of 'god') is just not worth it, I'm no longer into fausticuffs.

And who does Paul Kelly think he is? For that matter, what's with the reverence you give him? Is he the face on Mars or something?

Crabby Annabel talks about "trust" like a gullible little schoolgirl-one that hasn't discovered her daddy's involved in prostitution. What on earth have these politicians done to earn our trust? You trust them Annabel, I'm buggered if I will. Your crabby denunciation of George Galloway displays exactly whose camp you're 'inside'. Knowing which side the bread is buttered, you decry the bravest voice in British politics. Put your mirror back in your handbag and go back to the girl guides.

America engineered its own terror scenario by allowing, maybe even planning 9/11. They got their Nazi style "homeland security" and wars in oil-rich Afghanistan and Iraq. England engineered the subway attacks. Suddenly 'Poms' could cope with Tony Bliar's insincere vocal strains again-even his backbenchers have stopped calling for his resignation. Bobbies can now carry guns and the Brits have given the world a template for murder of innocents via the summary execution of Jean Charles de Menezes. Don't you think governments do this in times of national struggle? Think (or research) back to Nazi Germany and the Reichstag Fires! Or Pearl Harbour!

Mainstream journalism and media refuses to even investigate such angles. That is why there is a need for more honest reporting, which only comes via the internet, which is why freedom-hating governments like Australia and America are attempting to outlaw internet sites, etc. The hypocrisy is breath-taking for anyone with the skills to actually read between the lines (lies) of the media.

John Howard has a happy knack of appropriating other nations' terror as our own-he cares not whether it's US, UK, or Bali. Inependent media is where the truth will be found for all who have had their bellyful of mainstream media propaganda.

Here in America, the mainstream media serves as "waterboys" and lackeys for the New World Order power elite.

All free-thinking people of the world are strongly urged to seek out independent sources of information if interested in more than mere corporate-controlled hype and tripe.

The truth is out there for all with eyes to see and ears to hear.

Incidentally, the United States government front is NOT America, nor is the evil cabal that drives it "America". We in independent media are battling the "collective coma of the conditioned masses" here in our country and stress the vital importance of ALL independent media throughout the world to push hard and bypass the mainstream, governmental, and corporate obstacles to exposing truth directly to the public.

Study finds youth feel disillusioned with political process

IT'S RABBIT PIE DAY! SO RUN RABBIT RUN....

A new study into youth voting has found that if voting was not compulsory in Australia, only half of young people would take part.

But in reality they all should just vote informal and get a divorce from federalism.

At the moment, the youth voting rate is about 85 per cent.

That means we have much work to do to convince those voters to vote informal.

University of Sydney researcher Murray Print says many young people feel they do not understand the political process.

"They're certainly disillusioned with the political process that's evident in Australia today, they're disillusioned with political parties and they're disillusioned with politicians," he said.

Not just them either!

If federal bribes, corporate media and greed can compel some people to vote for a war criminal then they ought to be very disillusioned and feel that they are being taken for the ride of their life!

The Government has flagged changes to electoral procedures once it has control of the Senate.

It can get a lot worse!
