The head of the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) has confirmed the organisation knew that former Guantanamo Bay detainee Mamdouh Habib was being held in Egypt in February 2002.

The Government says it has never been able to confirm Mamdouh Habib was in custody in Egypt?

Today the director-general of ASIO, Dennis Richardson, told a Senate estimates committee the intelligence organisation knew he was there.

"We established to our satisfaction he was definitely there in February of 2002," he said.

Mr Richardson also told the committee when ASIO first interviewed Mr Habib in Pakistan officers did not believe his claims of torture?

"It was dismissed because we had a fairly good idea of what he'd been up to," Mr Richardson said?

"He was actually with people in Afghanistan who have a history of murdering innocent civilians." [Lies!]

"We didn't consider they needed to be considered, nor investigated. We considered they were humbug and we believe they're humbug today if he was to raise them again."

"Our people formed the view that he concocted a story about people in a yellow uniform kidnapping and torturing him, so they were treated very differently to the allegations made in Guantanamo Bay," he said?

Keelty says Habib first raised the allegations during the two interviews in Pakistan immediately after he was arrested but did not question Pakistani authorities.

But the fact that Keelty and his mob set about taunting Mr Habib well before the alleged notification of torture in Pakistan and subsequent kidnap to Egypt means that Keelty is a blatant liar. So what is a blatant liar doing as head of AFP?

POLICE INVESTIGATE THEMSELVES: GIVE A DOG A BONE?

When the Ombudsman investigates police in most States and Territories of Australia they set about asking the police to investigate themselves to see if there is any validity to a complaint.

Police allege that they do investigate themselves and send a letter to the Ombudsman to say that they have investigated themselves and usually find that there is no truth about the allegation or at least investigators have found no evidence.

Well this is my personal experience even though the evidence is at my hands, in the form of misinformation given to me by the police and eventually whitewashed by the authorities, from the NSW police Minister and Director General down.

So any ordinary person could well believe that in reality, police in most states and territories of Australia, have free reign to continue to be corrupt.

Why? Because the government is corrupt in most states and territories of Australia.

When I say corrupt I mean not to be blamed for making mistakes, noble cause corruption and corrupt police officers employed by the States and Territories.

So if additional powers are needed by the Ombudsman in Victoria it stands to reason that these powers are the very minimum requirement needed by the Ombudsman to be able to question or investigate corruption throughout Australia, otherwise we end up like Victoria with police killing the witnesses who are testifying against police corruption.

The most noticeable argument I can raise here is that the Ombudsman never at any time sought to show me a formula for any sort of investigation into the matters I had raised.

What is happening between the Police Service and politics is quite extraordinary at the moment. If stand over tactics don't work tell half the truth honestly and follow the example of sheep. Another word for it is sleaze, yeah. Another word for it is workplace harassment. Another word for it is bribing a Police Officer. Another word for it is misleading Parliament.
