How intelligent is the Australian Federal Government?

Don't blame it on, [war criminal], John Howard! Don't blame it on, [war criminal], Alexander Downer! Don't blame it on, [war criminal], Robert Hill! Blame it on intelligence!

The Foreign Minister, Alexander Downer, says the Government will make the final decision on who will head an independent inquiry into intelligence provided by Australian agencies prior to the war in Iraq.

But it's not the intelligence we should be looking at is it? What we should be looking at is the "Will" of the government to go to war on Iraq given the relevant facts surrounding the issue I would have thought.

Labor is demanding it be consulted before a former intelligence expert is chosen to lead the investigation.

What about an independent judge heading a Royal Commission into the "Will" of the Government to go to WAR we don't need an intelligence expert, we need the truth.

Downer says he does not mind consulting the Opposition, but says the Government "will" choose a broadly acceptable and responsible person.

Just like they 'will' go to war because they 'will' do what it is they want with or without an ethical human rights consideration and in direct contravention of International Law.

Downer: "We are the Government, we were elected at the last election, we did win the last election and I think that on the basis of us being the Government we'll make the decision," he said.

"But we won't be appointing some controversial figure and I think at the end of the day whoever we consult, the point is we won't be looking for a controversial figure to end the inquiry," he said.

By Government Will 2 March 04

THE DICTATOR: What they 'will' do is whitewash any inquiry and they 'will' appoint the person that 'will' do that for them. Won't they? Not just that they 'Will' set up a (diversion) having the intelligence agencies take the fall and by making inquires about (intelligence) instead of common sense.

THE DOG: Seems the 'Will' of the Government is to do what they want and that's so they can do it again with or without you or your vote!
