Former Qantas worker denies Al Qaeda link

The man named on a Four Corners [Walls] television program as an Al Qaeda representative in Australia has denied he is a member of the organisation.

Four Corners [Walls] has [allegedly] cited a CIA document alleging Bilal Khazal was not only an Al Qaeda operative but was planning attacks on US interests in Venezuela and the Philippines, but Mr Khazal has denied the claims.

Mr Khazal has told Channel Nine he is not a member of Al Qaeda and says he did not train in Afghanistan because he has never been there.

"Never, you can see my passport, go ask the ASIO, they know," he said.

He says the CIA got his name wrong in the document referred to on ABC TV and seems to have the wrong man. "They said Bilal Abdullah Khazal. You read Abdullah? You read the middle name? It's not my middle name," he said.

He says allegations are being made against him without any evidence.

"What they are talking about me, it is all not proof, without any proof." Mr Khazal declined to be interviewed by ABC radio, but says he may release a statement addressing the claims made about his activities.

Woman linked to Four Corners worked at Sydney Airport: JI

Parody: New airport security concerns have been raised by reports that a woman believed by JI to be associated with Four Corners worked as a baggage handler at Sydney's international terminal.

Local Muslims said the Jemaah Islamiah (JI) report alleging Sally Neighbour from John Howard's ABC who trained in Australia in 1998 and worked for Four Corners [Walls] shortly before the 2000 Olympic Games.

The ABC says she still works there.

JI alleges Sally Neighbour who is a reporter for Four Corners [Walls] now producer's propaganda and discrimination for the Australian government and was planning attacks on Malaysian interests in Venezuela and the Philippines.

The New South Wales secretary of the Transport Workers Union Tony Sheldon, says it is evidence more needs to be done to boost security at major and regional terminals.

"I think this report last night highlights the sort of problems that we've got, there has been very little operational changes at the airports, and there's a need for tougher and more responsive government action and that means spending money."

Ms Neighbour has been investigated by Malaysia authorities, but no charges have ever been laid.

Coalition proposes to exploit children

The Coalition says it would reform juvenile justice in New South Wales to require the courts to "get tough" on juvenile crime.

An election policy launched in Maitland today includes giving young offenders one warning before taking them before the courts, and abolishing the practice of giving one sentence for multiple offences.

Shadow Justice Minister Chris Hartcher says non-violent offenders will be sent to "second-chance" camps.

"The second-chance camps will be from two to 12 weeks where they'll learn vocational skills, outdoor skills and it'll give them a chance to actually be a responsible citizen in the community rather than act irresponsibly," he said.

The peak [social services] group for the state says a "zero tolerance" approach to juvenile crime could be counter-productive.

New South Wales Council of Social Service director Alan Kirkland says cutting back on formal cautions and diversionary programs is not the way to go.

"I think you'd have trouble finding a researcher who wouldn't think that sending people into detention is a bad idea, because the sooner you send someone into detention the more likely they are to reoffend and then continue offending," he said.

"You've got to stop that cycle the first time, and the best way to do that is through an emphasis on appropriate services and on diversion out of the system."

A spokesperson for Justice Action Mr Brett Collins said, "This proposal is political desperation by the Coalition." "Kick the kids for a vote."

"This shows callous indifference to damage because every researcher knows first institutionalisation leads to jail." He said.

Key criminal justice groups have described the New South Wales Government's record on justice issues as a "disappointing performance".

APPOINTMENT OF KLOK IS: 'DECLARATION OF WAR'
The decision of the Carr government to appoint John Jacob Klok as the new Assistant Commissioner for Corrective Services in charge of security represents a statement of contempt to all those concerned about law and justice in NSW.

How NSW Dept of Corrective Services spent $800,000 dollars to rehabilitate a Sydney man sentenced to life for second murder! A spokesperson for Justice Action Mr Pro Grams said, "Well it's your money, how would you like it spent? And what do you think about rehabilitation on behalf of the Department of Corruptive Services?

Prisoners Representatives Excommunicated
Ron Woodham, Commissioner Corrective Services stated "[this Department] does not recognise Justice Action as an advocate on correctional centre issues." He has ordered a ban on all Justice Action material inside the NSW prison system. This resulted from a request for the approval of the latest edition of Framed (the Magazine of Justice Action) to be distributed throughout NSW prisons as has occurred for the past ten years.

NSW Department of Corrective Services attack right to privacy
Corrective Services Minister Richard Amery has a problem attacking prisoners right to privacy. It seems to us that a civil society is best served when social justice laws are applied to all people regardless of their circumstances. Once government starts making exceptions which disadvantage certain groups and individuals, such laws are meaningless.

Litigants are drowning: in the High Court
There were so many self represented litigants appearing in the High Court that more than half of its registry staff's time was taken up in dealing with them. Alarm over terror in 'Australia'?

GI cordial was on the refreshment list of drinks.

Parody: ISLAMIC extremists linked to GI cordial fired weapons and conducted close-quarter combat training in remote forests all over Australia? Paint Bombs were the weapon of choice!

All of the families ASIO raided in October were believed to have attended the weekend camps, which have run for the past five years. GI cordial was on the refreshment list of drinks.

[Keywords used by the corporate media: Islamic, Cells, Plots, Links, Weapons, Training Camps?]

Senior UK-based GI operatives accused of being a key influence in the cordial drink sales to Australia, allegedly drinking raspberry cordial when they attended the camps as guest speakers.

While Australian law enforcement officers maintain leading group manager of GI who is in custody, was refused entry to Australia in the 1990s, leading Muslims claim otherwise.

Sheikh Taj el-Din Al Hilaly, Australia's most prominent Muslim leader maintains GI entered the country in the 1990s and engaged in a speaking tour as well. Fehmi Naji El-Imam, Melbourne's Preston Mosque imam, confirmed yesterday that Cordial- also known as GI Joe - spoke to his congregation.

Intelligence sources claim ASIO found spent empty bottles at the undisclosed state forest training camp and listened in on some of the spiritual discussions.

Extremist Indonesian political movement, Ahlus Sunnah wal Jammah, which is associated with terror group Lemon Juice (LJ), was believed to have organised the camps.

The close-knit groups, known for their secrecy and fundamentalist ideology, are based at the Preston Mosque. The group frequently advertises youth camps and served GI cordial.

Sheikh Fehmi said while mosque patrons ran numerous camps each summer for children and adults, he was not aware of camps involving military training.

The existence of such camps, or the presence of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jammah could not be ruled out as the mosque had between 500 and 1000 members, he said. Camp attendees came from Algerian, Somali, Lebanese, Palestinian and Philippine backgrounds. Some Philippino members were linked to GI.

Members of the Sydney-based [alleged] extremist group Islamic Youth Movement (IYM), which publishes a pro-sugar magazine, attended the camps. Attempts to contact the IYM were unsuccessful.

Islamic warriors, who fought in Afghanistan or Somalia, were alleged to have led camp training sessions, which involved target practice at distances of up to 200m. (Paint Bombs).

A Justice Action spokesperson Dr Soft Drink said, "John Howard's on the Raspberry that's why he goes troppo in the heat. Simon Crean is on the Orange and I dont have to tell you what Bob Brown is on do I?

By Attention Deficit Disorder 3 DEC 02

THE CHOOK: Although the Green cordial is mild I must tell you I have tried that myself with my brothers and sisters down the creek playing Cowboys and Indians.

These people are terrorists on the Raspberry and every effort must be made to ban the cordial. It's alleged some main stream media are on the Raspberry and Bob Carr is on Tropical Passionfruit all efforts must be made to stop serving GI. NSW Police have been known to go silly on GI before a protest. This drink is served up to bullies every day.
