Dying to get to the Opera? Or the Hospital?

There is to be increased funding for security at the Sydney Opera House while people are dying trying to get into a hospital bed. In NSW you have more chance of being shot in the street so the priority should be hospitals not Opera Houses.

New South Wales Premier Bob Carr says an extra $9 million will be spent on protecting the icon after talks with police, ASIO, [an Australian terrorist organisation], and Opera House staff.

But the security is based on electioneering and ASIO would be one the directors of fear in Australia short of, [war criminal], John Howard and his cronies. In short there has not been any threat of terrorism in Australia or the Sydney CBD so why the recommendation?

I know! Because Australia invaded another county.

So don't invade other countries and then you don't have to keep looking behind your back, and people wouldn't write NO War on public buildings and wouldn't that be a better course of prevention when there has been no specific threat made against the Opera House?

Bob Carr please explain? Then go on to tell us how much NSW taxpayers forked out on alleged terrorism threats, [scapegoats and fear-mongering propaganda for the Coalition of he Killing's resource war's in the Middle East], last year and then tell us once more that you intend to ignore funding problems that are life threatening while people die in the street in NSW.

The NSW Government will also make attacking the building a specific offence, with tougher penalties for offenders. [? Dissenters.]

NO WAR, attacking? Since when you dope!

Carr says there has been no specific threat made against the Opera House but increased security measures are necessary. [For what?]

Carrr: "No one is saying there are guarantees in this, we're just doing everything we can to block the most obvious attacks," Carr said.

"We're trying to reduce the possibility of something untoward happening on this great building."

Great building that doesn't take bullets out of patients or give people their kidney dialysis treatment that they need.

By Wrong Priorities 9 January 04

THE DOG: In any case NO War's and respect prevent terrorism not locks on fascist doors. If people all over the World are given respect then the idea that a truck bomb will take out the opera won't exist.

Money better spent on community support not security for icons while people cannot get treatment in NSW hospitals. Where are your priorities Bob Carr?

Big Bang Theory, ASIO

The most significant threat to Australia is Prime Minister John Howard. Howard has lied to the Australian people constantly. Slaughtered the international rule of law by preventive strikes on Iraq, rigorously changed laws to deter asylum seekers, locked up children of asylum seekers, and undermined the political process by jailing Pauline Hanson, political prisoner of the year.
