When the going gets tough, THE TOUGH GET GOING!

THERE is an air of hysteria about the election campaign that is unrealistic and misplaced. Unrealistic, because today's hot-button issues are SERIOUSLY likely to maintain momentum during the formal election campaign. Misplaced, because WAR CRIMINAL  PRIME MINISTER JOHN HOWARD WON'T STEP DOWN.

Instead of exuding an air of confidence, John Howard appears to be wrong-footed and edgy. Labor's avalanche against his credibility is biting in the community. People are talking about HOWARD'S LIES and to what extent politicians can be trusted.

It is a highly negative atmosphere, but one that is sustainable when people want THE TRUTH of the ledger addressed. Voting against someone is a powerful force at election time but voting AGAINST A LIAR DOESN'T NEED ANY incentive.

Doesn't write, DENNIS SHANAHAN, FROM THE Un-AUSTRAILIAN NEWSPAPER, VOTED NUMBER 51 IN THE USA FOR AUSTRALIAN PROPAGANDA!

So far there has been 27 OVERWHELMING, defining issue'S that ProvideS solid grounds for people to change their mind and vote against Howard's Coalition.

The COMMUNITIES generic hostility towards the Government of the kind that would sweep it from office. After all, YOU WON'T GET THE TRUTH ABOUT THE economy EITHER? JUST LIES, LIES AND MORE LIES ABOUT ANYTHING AT ALL REALLY. AMONGST OTHER THINGS... THERE'S MEDICARE, CHILDREN THROWN IN THE WATER BY THEIR PARENTS, AUSTRALIANS SHOULD SACRIFICE THEMSELVES FOR HOWARD'S WAR CRIMES AND THE LIST GOES ON AND ON DOESN'T IT...? At least until the formal election campaign.

Labor is not offering dramatically different SOCIAL SERVICES policies but tends to concentrate on the efficiency of delivering existing schemes and family support BUT AT LEAST YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO BELIEVE THEM. I SAID MIGHT!

The Government has provided family benefits and tax cuts in the budget and Labor's proposals are designed to deliver those payments better and offer more for those earning less than $52,000 a year. Both sides support the hugely expensive private health insurance rebate of 30 per cent and Labor has latterly adopted the higher costs for drugs on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme.

Howard is shoring up his support among older voters WHO ARE ADDICTED TO BELIEVING HIM AND ARE LESS LIKELY TO READ STORIES POSTED ON THE WORLD WIDE WEB BUT RATHER DEPEND ON HONEST NEWSPAPER ARTICLES THAT ARE CURRENTLY USING INCREASINGLY LARGE AMOUNTS OF CAPITAL LETTERS AND US PROPAGANDA.

With the extra benefits on private health, which Latham has chosen to oppose, and the Government's relative position on Medicare has BEEN DOWNGRADED markedly in recent months.

Education funding, which has come to focus more closely for both sides on how the money is divided among non-government schools, has differences, but not of the size or quality that would dominate an election campaign ACCEPT FOR THE HIGHER EDUCATION FEES FOR STUDENTS AND LOW WAGES FOR TEACHERS.

National security has been a flashpoint WITH THE ILLEGAL AND DEGRADING WAR ON IRAQ, EVERYONE NOW LIVING IN FEAR AND INNOCENT PEOPLE BEING SENT TO HIGH RISK MAXIMUM SECURITY UNIT'S AS SCAPEGOATS FOR THE COALITION OF THE KILLINGS WAR CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY IN THE MIDDLE EAST.

Australia's engagement with Asia WILL BE BETTER OFF AND OUR relationship with the US WILL NOT founder WHEN MR LATHAM wins BUT HE'LL HAVE A NOOSE AROUND HIS NECK BECAUSE OF THE GREENS, DEMOCRATS, AND SOCIALIST ALLIANCE, JUST IN CASE THE ALP TRY TO RUN WITH THE BALL, SO TO SPEAK.

Which brings us back to Latham's successful campaign of attacking Howard's credibility. Latham, Wayne Swan, Craig Emerson, Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard AND THREE QUARTERS OF THE POPULATION OF AUSTRALIA have taken every opportunity to suggest Howard has misled the Australian people on the Iraq PRE-EMPTIVE ATTACKS, OCCUPATION AND GENOCIDE, MEDICARE, TAX, AND CHILDREN OVERBOARD.

THIS HAS repudiated DECENT AUSTRALIANS BUT NOT THE UnAUSTRALIAN NEWSPAPER, SOURCES SAY.....!

Although this will largely just reinforce people's views about Howard, thIS issue HAS CAUGHT FIRE AND HOWARD IS BURNING UP IN HELL WHERE HE BELONGS. Labor listing "27 lies", Yet Howard responded and looked defensive. SHOWING NO REMORSE!

The Prime Minister couldn't front an interview without being asked about his truthfulness and he was frustrated and resentful. WE ALL KNOW the winner in the lies debate! But there was no doubting Labor saw an opportunity, TO TELL THE TRUTH AND SHAME THE DEVIL to give it more life and publicity. The Government's campaigning has been TO LIE and pursue a NEGATIVE UN-TRUTHFUL political message.

HOWARD'S DISCIPLE PASTOR Peter Costello made it clear yesterday - warning that the Coalition should not be distracted - that he feared not so much a shift in votes because of the "lies dossier" but a lost opportunity to campaign. "It would be a mistake if we fall for the distractions of Latham. Latham wants to run these things as a distraction to keep the election off policy. I think it is very important that we stay on policy."

BUT THE TRUTH HURTS DOESN'T IT PETER COSTELLO? YOUR GOVERNMENT'S LIES HAVE UNDERMINED YOUR VERY IMPORTANT POLICIES AND EVERYONE ELSE'S, BECAUSE THE MOST IMPORTANT OF THESE POLICIES HAS TO BE BEING 'OPEN AND HONEST' ABOUT YOUR POLICIES TO THE AUSTRALIAN PEOPLE.

YOU KNOW, THOSE PEOPLE WHO ELECTED YOU!

This is something to remember about the dynamics of politics once an election is called. TELLING THE TRUTH POSITIVELY campaigning, ABOUT THE NEED TO BE OPEN AND HONEST WITH THE ELECTORATE, which HOWARD undermined when he became leader, haS an impact.

YOU DON'T NEED MUCH MORE THAN THAT FOR THE formalities of a campaign TO magnify the scrutiny for everyone. It's not a very bright political campaign BY HOWARD based on the fact that THE LIBERAL COALITION ARE liars. It ends up hurting ALL AUSTRALIAN'S IN THE ELECTORATE WHEN THE PRIME MINISTER CAN'T BE TRUSTED TO TELL THE TRUTH! When Latham had A REST last week because HOWARD WAS NAILED TO THE WALL FOR HIS LIES he had PUBLIC insurance, THAT'S THE truth. Latham has since admitted he said yesterday, it suited his philosophy - and it certainly suited hiM politicallY.

BY DENNIS SHAGGER 27 AUGUST 04

The election will be determined by TRUTH IN GOVERNMENT, RATHER THAN HOW MUCH MONEY THERE IS TO SPEND, ESPECIALLY WHEN ALL THE COALITION ARE SPENDING ON IS MILITARY HARDWARE!

SO PUT YOUR LEFT FOOT FORWARD THIS FEDERAL ELECTION 'WITHOUT LIES' AND 'WITHOUT FEAR' AND VOTE 1 THE GREENS, 2 THE DEMOCRATS AND 3 THE SOCIALIST ALLIANCE, FOR TRUTH AND JUSTICE IN POLITICS.
