Australia's Anti Vietnam veterans don't support any call for the re-introduction of conscription.
The head of the Tasmanian branch of the Anti Vietnam Veterans Association, Don't Fight, says with the shortage of personnel within the regular war force and the reserves, there is a need for compulsory conflict resolution.
"If you look at what happened in Vietnam there is a lot of opposition to it, and make no bones about it." He said.
"Mainly because people want to find a real job and to live in peace."
