Boat people and John Howard don't have anything in common because John Howard can't put himself in the same boat and that's the problem. Howard never once stopped to think about having his son or daughter or family member under a bomb to fix the problem in Iraq or he would never have joined the coalition of pre-emptive terrorists wagging war on innocent people.
Howard promises eventual proof of a smoking gun to save face over the death and destruction he caused on innocent people in Iraq.
The Prime Minister yesterday told sceptics questioning the existence of Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction to be patient as they clamour for evidence.
But just how patient?
Long enough to plant evidence? That's not much different than Noble Cause Corruption and "A typical" of Australia today. A country that attacks religious leaders and a country that is beginning to rot at the head with people burning the Australian flag now.
This week the chief United Nations weapons inspector, Hans Blix, said "so much" of the intelligence the US and Britain relied upon to justify their attack on Iraq "seemed to have been shaky".
But John Howard said he remained convinced the intelligence the US, British and Australian governments relied upon was "correct" and "very credible". Commentators had to be "a little more patient" as they waited for the coalition to uncover the weapons of mass destruction, Saddam had allegedly hidden.
"Do people really imagine there were going to be signposts on the road to Baghdad or Basra saying 'second turn left, WMD in large storehouse'? I mean it just doesn't work that way," Howard said.
Rocky and Bullwinkle, "You need a hat to find a rabbit and then you pull the rabbit out of the hat. Sound familiar! Only a war criminal would shoot first and ask questions later!
Despite mounting criticism of the time it is taking to locate any such weapons, Howard said it was best to leave the task to coalition inspectors, rather than call in the UN team, because the UN had been unable to tackle the issue before the war. [?]
"I think there is, at some point, a role [for the UN inspectors] ... but I think it's appropriate now that the inspection arrangements that the Americans in particular have put in place continue," Howard said.
The [alleged] Opposition Leader accused the Prime Minister of acting contrary to Australia's security interests. "Given the chaos currently in Iraq, and the need to locate weapons of mass destruction quickly, the immediate return of UN inspectors is essential," Simon Crean said.
"Every delay in the resumption of full UN inspections increases the possibility that Iraq's weapons of mass destruction could be transferred out of Iraq."
Not too late for Iraq peace, Blix says
But we all know that's rubbish now. The Coalition of the Killing were not seeking WMD in Iraq, they were there for their resource wars. So who gave the 'UN' and Blix the wrong information back then? War criminals!
