We'll fight them on the bitches

FITNESS instructors who help people get fit on Sydney beaches are under attack from councils who want them to retreat off the sand.

Personal trainers who use public areas will be required to seek a permit and pay a fee under proposals being considered by at least one council.

But time and time again we are hearing of councils who are trying to profit from people who are getting on with their life. If it's not smoking its training if it's not training it's getting fit. Revenue raising councils think that the general public is a money tree that is endless and they are willing to steal your money and your liberty for the sake of local businesses.

People who get fit could be banned from congregating in popular areas or at certain times of the day. Time for a revolution?

My friends if that is the case then you might need to stay fit in the War on Liberty.

Manly and Waverley Councils are formulating policies regarding personal trainers after receiving complaints from local businesses about fitness centres not getting enough work.

The councils know very well that they can roadblock locals and send them down the gym or they'll cop a fine and either way it works out for the council. So on the guise that these people are running "boot camps" they have to be removed for the sake of local business profit margins.

THE COUNCIL: "FITNESS instructors who run military-style "boot camps" on Sydney beaches are under attack and we want them to retreat off the sand."

What no WMD's? Only half a terrorist story if you ask me.

What about?
JI trains on Sydney beaches as the headline?

At Manly, council officers have been ordering trainers off the beach.

"The issue here relates to enclosing parts of the beach and running a business from it"

"[Trainers] effectively say to members of the public, 'you can't be here because I'm conducting this boot camp'."

Manly Council general manager Henry Wong said the issue was a Sydney-wide problem and believed personal trainers should be made to pay for conducting business on public land.

There you go all about money for liberty!

Wong: "These are public places, personal trainers ought to respect that," he said.

Like they're not the public!

Wong: "It costs council $2 million a year to maintain the beach and a fee for the use of public space is not unreasonable."

Like that's why we pay tax fool!

Waverley Council is considering options to deal with the issue after receiving complaints from local businesses.

"We've had up to a dozen complaints, mostly at Bondi," a council spokeswoman said.

"We've had some problems with the trainers who operate big squads. This isn't just two people, they have 20 or 30 or even more.

A whole army of terrorists or more, perhaps we need to call in the army?

Wong: "They impede other peoples' enjoyment of the beach, whether it be along the promenade or in the park."

They who? But these people have no rights like other people do they? They're not other people are they? No! They are most likely corporate terrorists. Did you ring ASIO to tell them this is suspicious and they have no rights.

Fitness NSW CEO Ian Grainger said personal trainers had a right to conduct their business on the beach. "All levels of government are trying to encourage people to increase their levels of physical activity," he said. "But councils want to stop ratepayers from being active.

"We certainly understand that council facilities such as beaches are there for the use of everybody, [but] there should be some sensible compromise."

Ed: Should "the beach be a part of the bitch," be part of our corporate bitch culture?
