Tasmanian Independent Senator Brian Harradine says he will boycott today's address to Parliament by Chinese President Hu Jintao because of China's poor record on human rights.
Senator Harradine said the Chinese Government is guilty of continuing and appalling breaches of human rights.
"This is setting a precedent where for the first time in our history this has occurred, giving a platform to a person where there is absolutely not democracy in China, and there is gross violations of human rights," Senator Harradine said.
